Some of our major clients include: VicRoads, Fulton Hogan, Downer EDI, BMD, Lend Lease as well as many local Victorian Councils such as: Brimbank, Wyndham, Melton City, Hume City, Geelong City & Moorabool Shire Council. PPS currently employees around 50 direct full time employees in addition to subcontractors and casual employees as required.
We provide our services through a modern fleet of trucks, road profilers, paving/ earthmoving equipment, rollers and crushing plant & equipment. All machinery is backed by an experienced and qualified team of Operators and supporting staff. We are a one-stop shop for all civil and profiling construction activities.
PPS place an emphasis on achieving quality work delivered on time and within budget. In addition to achieving these objectives, health and safety takes priority at each of our jobsites. Close attention is paid by our qualified team to maintain a safe environment for employees and the public alike. Everyone deserves the right to go to work and return home safely every night. Integrated Management System
Patten Pavement Services is committed to maintaining its triple certification to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), AS/NZS 4801 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). PPS is further accredited to the Victorian Electrical Distribution Network VEDN. The entire company divisions are on the VicRoads contractor approval list too. Our Traffic Management team additionally encompasses a crew of ticketed and competent individuals whom under our management system are accredited to work on VicRoads and all other jobsites.
PPS was initially certified solely to the Civil Contractors Federation Management System (CCF). However, in 2011 the company made the transition and commitment to maintaining an integrated management system (IMS) audited regularly both internally by PPS and externally by British Standards Institute (BSI).
AS/ NZS 4801 (OH&S Management): We are continuously working with our stake holders in the endeavor of maintaining a high standard of safety from implementation to project competition. During each project we closely monitor all aspects of safety performance. PPS is committed to reducing hazards in the work place and making worksites as safe as is reasonably practicable.
ISO 9001 (Quality Management): We are continuously developing our Quality Management System and strive to achieve a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
ISO 14001 (Environmental Management): We are continuously improving our EMS in line with current legislation and EPA guidance documentation with the intention of minimizing our environmental footprint.
PPS is continuously improving its management practices and systems through the implementation of new innovative ideas. Management commitment and leadership form an integral part of our system. Safety is demonstrated from the top levels down through pre start meetings, safety committee meetings, toolbox meetings, hazard inspection reports, incident & accident investigations, management audits/ reviews and regular site safety inspections.
Our strategy to achieving a low number of incidents revolves around a combination of Leadership, Personal Responsibility and effective use of our established Safe Systems of Work.
